Our Jumping Kangaroo preschool curriculum is a Pre-K readiness program designed for children ages 2–5, built to help your preschooler feel confident and prepared for kindergarten. Every weekday brings a new hands-on project, blending worksheets and crafts that build key skills like cutting, pasting, matching, and imaginative play — and all craft supplies are provided. Each month, children are introduced to 2–3 new letters, 1–2 numbers, one color, and one shape, all woven into fun, themed activities that keep things fresh. With something new to explore every single day, there's never a dull moment at The Sprouting Acorn.

Two naps will be available to children throughout the day depending on their age and needs.

Children will be served breakfast, lunch, and a snack following Illinois state nutritional guidelines for daycares. Meals are included in tuition.
About me
Hello, my name is Tirna Koski, and I am the owner and caregiver at The Sprouting Acorn, a licensed in-home daycare provider. I hold a bachelor's degree and certifications in First Aid and infant, child, and adult CPR, and I follow state nutrition guidelines to help create a nurturing environment for children. I am married and have two wonderful children of my own. I opened The Sprouting Acorn because I love children, and I promise to nurture your child as if they were my own. Every child is unique, and I believe that success and growth come from encouragement and praise. I focus on building each child's self-esteem and confidence through positive feedback and age-appropriate rewards. I nurture their natural strengths, as children see the world around them with wonder and awe. I believe in encouraging their natural curiosity.
